Through a variety of creative and practical activities (implementation), the Bilbrook DT curriculum aims to ignite children’s imaginations, developing cognitive challenge and communication skills. Teachers will share the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to engage in an iterative process of designing and making. We intend to provide them with the understanding of how design and technology both reflect and shape our history, and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
Children will be encouraged to explore a range of careers and possibilities linked to design and technology.
The impact of the curriculum is for children to develop appropriate skills and knowledge to achieve a range of clearly identified outcomes across the year groups, working in relatable contexts and developing real world products.
