Teaching British Values
RSE and Health Education prepares our students for life in British society by enabling to understand road safety, how to live healthily, how to make and maintain friendships and relationships. RSE and Health Education also allows our students to gain an understanding of social issues including bullying, alcohol and drugs, and the impact that they can have on our community. |
RSE and Health Education education helps pupils acquire the attitudes and values which are necessary if they are to make sense of their experiences, value themselves and respect others, appreciate difference and diversity and feel confident and informed.
The self
We value ourselves as unique human beings capable of spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical growth and development
Relationships
We value others for themselves, not only for what they have or what they can do for us. We value relationships as fundamental to the development and fulfillment of ourselves and others, and to the good of the community.
Society
We value truth, freedom, justice, human rights, the rule of law and collective effort for the common good.
Environment
We value the environment, both natural and shaped by humanity, as the basis of life and a source of wonder and inspiration.
RSE and Health Education is delivered at Bilbrook Middle school in dedicated timetabled lessons during the week.
